I live in one of these properties. The soundproofing etc. is pretty good, but the build quality is poor. It was obviously rushed. The public areas are poorly decorated and no real landscaping has been carried out, which causes flooding across some pathways. Not only that, but if the sprinklers are on around their show home, they spray water across the footpath at roughly head height (yes, I've been sprayed in the face before), because the landscapers, yet again, did no landscaping so the sprinklers are at a 30-45 degree angle from the ground. The company has built on a nature reserve and the stream that runs through the site is filled with dirt from the groundworks (I suppose nothing can be done about that), but it is also filled with rubbish - some of this is crisp packets and other rubbish which I presume once formed a builder's lunch. More concerning, though, is that the natural areas which have been preserved are strewn with building waste - the large plastic sheets used to wrap pallets of materials and fencing, for example. Considering that the natural ecosystem in the area has already been irrevocably disturbed, it surprises me to see that the companies make no effort to take care of what remains of the natural landscape. The company who manage the properties, Peabody, are equally useless and refuse to acknowledge any issue or fault.
