I had Oakwood over to look at some repeated dampness that was occurring on a wall in the dining room. What I imagined would be straightforward turned out not to be, as it wasn't clear what was causing the problem. I had 3 guys come over on two separate visits to identify the cause and formulate a plan of action. I worried for the quote, seeing the time and effort gone into the investigation, and was super surprised by how modest it was. The work was done, and I've never had a problem since. That was a couple of years ago now. I feel like there was plenty of chance to short cut the investigation or somehow charge for that effort, and take that fact that they didn't as desire to do a good and fair job. Thanks very much

This company are an absolute shambles, our insurer instructed them to do a simple job, they took our excess in February and gave a start date for May. 3 days before the job was due to start we were advised the job hadn't been booked and confirmed properly due to a staffing issue. We then rescheduled and were told this would be OK, given the previous issues I called a few days before the revised start date only to be told this was not likely to be possible due to staffing issues. I was advised I'd get a call back which never materialized and this is a recurring issue, then when I called again to be told the job wouldn't go ahead there wasn't much in the way of an apology and I did all the chasing. I am now waiting almost 2 weeks to receive a refund of the 750 excess they've had and still not received a penny. No call to say sorry or updated me. In short don't use them, they will waste your time and money.
