Jamie has been fantastic at getting me training in the best way for the sport I play. Throughout my time working out, I hadn't been training in an effective way to maximise my sporting performance. Jamie showed me how to train with a purpose and created a programme specifically for me, to develop my body and to reach optimum performance.

I am a competing Masters Rower and Rowing coach. I signed up initially with Optimum Performance for a 12-week package to help me return to Rowing after an injury last year. I was specifically looking for an overall improvement in strength and flexibility to improve my rowing speed and performance. Jamies approach has been excellent. His structured approach focussing on specific areas requiring attention has made significant improvements in this short period not only addressing those affected by the injury but other muscle groups which had been underdeveloped for several years. His particular strength is in adopting a holistic method, addressing all aspects of fitness including strength, flexibility and endurance for not only the primary muscle groups (in my case glutes and quads and lats) but also those having a contributary or negative effect on performance. The result has been a significant improvement in my rowing speed primarily a result of increased efficiency of my glutes and the consequent reduced strain on my lower back, which had been restricting the amount and intensity of work I was able to complete in the boat.
