Sharon Kennard School of Dance

Lovely dance school! My daughter has been going for half a year now and is excited to go ever Saturday. She has made lots of friends and has a great relationship with Sharon and her daughter.

Sharon is very friendly and welcoming and dedicated. My daughter joined in 2020 and absolutely loves going! Her confidence has grown and has made lots of friends. She is always keen to show us her dancing at home. Sharon provides themes classes (Christmas, Halloween) which my daughter loves. Sharon goes above and beyond for her pupils including online lessons during lockdown so the girls could continue to learn and dance, they also received certificates through the post! I would highly recommend!

I have attended Sharon kennard school of dance since I was 2 and half I absolutely love it, Sharon is so friendly and professional and shes not just your teacher she is like your best friend who you can confide in, I love dance with a passion I am now 15years old and I have been with the dance school for 12 and a half years I have taken my fair share exams and shows over the years what has really helped with my confidence Sharon is supportive and caring She has helped me over the years but because of Sharon I want to go onto a performing career and she has given me all the confidence that I need. As sharon would say; Dont dance like nobody is watching, dance like every body is watching

I danced with Sharon for 15 years, only leaving to go to university, and can confirm that both she and her school are absolutely wonderful. Sharon always goes above and beyond, accommodating individual needs and making the dance school inclusive to girls and boys, children, teenagers and adults, of all skill levels. Each year the school hosts an exam session as well as a show at the end of the summer term. No dancer is forced to take exams if they dont feel ready, and the show is an incredible opportunity to gain experience performing to friends, family and peers, with backstage supervision by certified chaperones. All classes are taught within Fant Hall, offering a safe, spacious and clean space for all types of dance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the hall was maintained following the government guidance to the letter, and when in-person classes were not possible Sharon provided online lessons on Zoom, going out of her way to make them as enjoyable as possible and providing a sense of important continuity for her students throughout the crisis. Sharon Kennard School of Dance is a friendly and kind space for young dancers to learn and thrive while having fun, and from the perspective of a student I highly recommend it.

My two girls have been part of the school for 5 years now and sharron has brought them along so much as little dancers. Could not recommend highly enough.
