I made a donation of a mother of pearl bracelet with a silver clasp. The lady at the counter asked me what it was worth and I told her it cost about 10 pounds when purchased sometime ago. She said she would price it up for 20 pounds. When I went into the shop a couple of days later I was very surprised to see they were charging 25 pounds. I commented on this to the assistant manager. I have donated for many years to charities and I realize they need to raise as much money as possible for their cause however I don't think overcharging customers is fair after all it was donated. I will continue to donate but not to Age UK in the future.
