Used to be good but now it's a webshop only, it's totally impersonal, and a right pain in the backside when you live locally. I'd always support local business but this doesn't feel like a local business anymore. If I can only order online I may as well go where it's cheapest. Virtually impossible to get hold of on the phone and insist on email which means several communications for what could be a two minute call. If there's someone to type an email, there's someone to answer the phone. I don't understand why people are so terrified of phone calls now! Sorry Island4x4, you started out so well and have steadily slipped into the same pattern as the Chinese eBay webshop. Sad, really sad to see.

These guys used to be amazing, back when they were on the Isle of Sheppey - they were still pretty good when they moved to Maidstone, as they still had a counter service. Now? Appalling. Forget it. I would never use them again. If there's any sort of problem with any part they supply, you cannot reach them on the telephone - they just ignore it. They even warn you that they are unlikely to answer the phone on their website! It's such a shame. I've spent thousands with them over they years. I place all of my business elsewhere now - it's cheaper from the major 4x4 specialist suppliers on eBay. and much easier to resolve if there's a problem with the order, or a fault with the part. Avoid. They've forgotten what service is all about....

I have used Island for about 5 years for myself and friends, parts arrive fast and answered any quires fast, However, soon as you get a fault with one, no or very slow answer and you get the standard response (we haven't seen or heard of that issue before) when I know at least 6 people which have had the same issues! so cut the rubbish. I know they dont make the parts but if you are going to sell you have to have the responsibility of having them back to investigate the issue with the supplier. Now I am only going to buy genuine I cant be bothered to do the job 4 times!

Beware of using this company. Listing items for sale on their website that they do not have and cannot source. Dont waste your time, there are more reputable retailers who can fulfil orders correctly.
