Excellent service from Harry and the team, and he diagnosed a problem with my eyes which 'other High St opticians' had not. He really takes time to check your eyes, and recommend the best lenses for you, including reusing your previous frames if suitable. (Normally they just want to flog you new ones). Highly recommended.

Harry is the best. He regularly sees me for an emergency and this weeks hes away and Im sitting in windsor eye casualty appreciating all that Harry does for his customers. So I wanted to say thanks!

I recently went in for an eye examination, which resulted in changing my prescription significantly. The service from the optician was professional; he took the time to check all my concerns and he explained everything I asked, as well as the results. He told me at the end of my first visit that he would like me to come in another time, wearing my old contacts, to finish his checks. He said he would not need much time and could slip me in between longer appointments once my glasses were ready for collection. He said they would call me. I didn't get a call, I got a text simply saying glasses were ready, so I called and explained what the optician had said. I was given an appointment time. I turned up at my appointment time and was told that the customer who had the next appointment after me had arrived early and was taken in, and that I would have to wait half an hour to be seen. I want to clarify I was not late - I arrived on time. So I politely go away to wait near the high street. As I'm walking away, I hear the husband of the customer who arrived too early, say in a loud voice that he has the appointment right after his wife's... I didn't hear the rest as I was on my way out of the shop to wait patiently to be called back in. It was one hour and 5 minutes before I was called in. Not only, by now, 1 hour and 15 minutes later than my appointment time, but the person on the phone asked me how long it would take me to get back into the shop! Sure enough, both customers were just finishing and heading off when I walked in. The assistant/sales person did not have the time of day to speak to me at all after this, let alone provide an apology for keeping me waiting for more than an hour for an appointment I was not late for. I was also charged in full, even though I was not seen at my appointment time, and I had been led to believe that this visit was just to complete the examination from my previous visit. Absolutely disgusting behaviour that sends a clear message that my time is worth less than the louder, rudder customer who arrived too early. It's a pity that a competent optician has to lose a customer due to incompetent support staff, but I'm not in the habit of giving money to people who show no respect for me whatsoever.
