SORANO Italian Restaurant Maidenhead

Unbelievably mediocre. Let's start with the good. The decor is lovely, the manager very polite and accommodating. The food however is nothing to rate. If you enjoy Italian cooking, trust me you can do better at home. The risotto was nice, but their pizza clearly does not use fresh ingredients. We unfortunately had a table next to us who had clearly been drinking too much (on a Tuesday...) with a guest falling from her chair and really crude conversation. The wait staff didn't check in with us until our meal was over. The manager was very accommodating and apologetic, but if you're looking for great (even good) Italian food then go to Sauce and Flour a few doors down.

Great food, good ambience and more over the staff at Sorano knows what hospitality means by letting guests relax and have a conversation than rush them to fill the covers for more money.

We took our parents here for their anniversary, and had a great time. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and is cosy but spacious, and the staff provided great customer service. We went on a Thursday night so it wasn't very busy, but it definitely deserves to be. The pasta dishes were delicious and very generously portioned, and the tiramisu was some of the best we've had in a long time! Can't wait to come back with friends. Parking: If you go after 6pm, the side street has free parking on the single yellow lines.
