My stay at The Bakehouse was utterly outstanding. As a women travelling alone I felt totally safe and cared for. I have traveled a lot and stayed in many places and I can say that Laurent is an exceptional host in all ways. Courteous, caring, professional and going far far over and above to make my stay so wonderful. I cannot recommend The Bakehouse highly enough. It is also out standing value given the reasonable charge. I found the quiet suburban street a very restful location while still so close (easy walking distance) from the township of Maidenhead and also a local supermarket and two pubs within walking distance. I dined in and enjoyed the delicious meals Laurent prepared in the tranquil garden setting. This place is a gem, book it now if you want the personal touch and a host who goes the extra mile. Place was also spotless, the bed wonderful and the linen and towels top notch.

Laurents place in Maidenhead is a great find! We stayed four nights there and found Laurent to be a very warm, personable and welcoming host, very interested in making sure his guests are comfortable and have everything they need. Indeed, we witnessed an extraordinary kindness of his whilst we visited, and it was very heartwarming indeed. The room was relatively spacious with a large and comfortable double bed, and a spotlessly clean bathroom. A blackout blind helped extend a good nights sleep, as did the quietness of the area, on a very quiet road. And yet the location is superb, less than 20 min walk to the railway station, where you can connect with the Elizabeth Line to London. A similar walk would bring you to the town centre - very convenient, especially if you arent driving! Also nearby is a convenience store and a Tesco Express, a restaurant/pub and the excellent Saints caf, serving superb coffee! In the mornings, Laurent also serves a very agreeable breakfast in his large kitchen. All in all, we would highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Maidenhead, for either a short or a longer stay, and we hope to go back ourselves in the future!
