        Proper pub for having a drink in. Very reasonably priced too. I've enjoyed my visits and will continue to go there.

        We stayed in the village on a short break and visited the Chalk & Cheese a few times. What a lovely pub it is; totally unpretentious, good food and drink and most importantly a really friendly welcome from the guys running it. Can't recommend it highly enough.

        Overall it was lovely, but only had one ale that is available Nationally. They did say they usually have also a guest ale but wasn't ready. They have lived music advertised. I would definitely go again.

        The new licensees have turned the Chalk and Cheese into the pub we have always wanted. Never seen it so busy. Great atmosphere, great people. Now that the kitchen has finally been sorted, hoping for decent food, the beer is already good. We'll done Jamie and partners.
