We are locals have been coming to La Piccola for over two years now, especially for their breakfast. For the past number of months, there has been a new employee (she has dark red dyed hair and looks to be in her 50s) and we have had some awful experiences with her, tonight being the worst. We went down 40 minutes before closing to pick up some Pancetta and cheese. On arrival, the lady rudely informed us that the slicer had been cleaned so we couldnt get any pancetta. This was understandable, so I asked was there any other way she could cut it and she turned around to me and rudely said you mock me??? We were genuinely shocked but moved on quickly as we dont like conflict and asked for some Pecorino. She acted as if we had asked her to do an extremely strenuous task and basically laughed in our face. Nodding and shaking her head as if were being so rude to her. She then continued to shout loudly in Italian and from the few words I can understand it was clear she was being extremely rude and giving out about us - for asking for two products. The other colleague was clearly embarrassed and made a point of saying thank you numerous times as we left. As paying and loyal customers for over two years this has left a really negative energy with us. We are nothing but polite and dont deserve to be treated like that. As mentioned, this is only ONE of many occasions she has been extremely rude. We will not be coming back again.

Ive been coming here pretty much every week since you opened. Recently the quality of your staff has plummeted. They arent able to fulfil requests without saying the chef isnt here or we dont do that. Customer service has gone out the window and instead been replaced with robots. They even had the cheek to lie to me to say they had never served me before. Back in the days when Luna and the gang were around there was such a friendly atmosphere. Now it feels like kids with no consideration run the place. How times have changed

Have been a customer for years. A wonderful place, great selection of meats and cheeses. I am now only able to visit on Tuesdays and keep meeting the same girl who is pretty unfriendly and everything seems to be a chore for her. Not easy to communicate either, it is either she doesnt always understand or doesnt pay attention. Following my visit today, it was obvious she needs a rest. She could barely move. Completely puts me off coming back. Shame.

Its a shame! They have a lot of good Italian product but the staff doesnt know what is doing. Vary unprofessional and rude.
