My son attended this nursery from 16 months old, he is on the spectrum and was diagnosed Autistic whilst attending Fox house they were fully aware of his needs as they were the ones who brought up concerns when he first attended, he was in Foxhouse for over 2 years. There never seemed to be a problem until around Sept 22 time when one day I went to pick my son up and they made me aware he had climbed over there garden fence and made his way down to the entrance doors whilst he was unsupervised, my son has no sense of danger and would walk straight in to the main road this nursery was on, if the 3 year old child who also was attending fox house never ran in to alert staff my son had climbed over the fence I dont know what would of happened! After this I asked why they had not applied for a 1:1 for Alby and Anna the owner of the nursery told me Alby was too young to get this funding, and also told me Alby could not attend his extra days at nursery anymore after the incident and to look at new nurserys for him! It was as if Alby was to blame for this and not the establishment! All the while they had applied for Disability access funding for him and not made me or his dad aware he received this one off annual payment of 828, If you specifically look up what DAF is for is states: for the whole amount to be spent on the child or to make reasonable adjustments to the setting for the child. I was aware when this was applied for but upon asking if he ever had any funding I was told NO. I have contacted the owner my self who on he 28.03.23 said she still had the full amount of the funding and was awaiting instructions from Sefton council what to do with the money, I had also contacted Sefton council myself, which I still have the email stating that FOX HOUSE themselves can directly send the funding over to Albys new nursery, I phoned the owner (Anna) myself and told her what Sefton council had said and said I can show the email as proof which obviously in return Anna states she still needs direct instructions from Sefton council but has made no effort to rectify this. This has been going on for months I feel like this is a very untrustworthy establishment they had 8 weeks to notify myself (mum) or his dad that this payment had been made and kept it quiet. I have now been told by the nursery there was a spreadsheet of stuff purchased for Alby will his DAF which a meeting was arranged to see what was on the spreadsheet but all of sudden the people who had this information was off on the arranged day of the meeting and then was also told it was spent on staff training. So its safe to say I defiantly picked the wrong nursery to care for and look after my son as I feel they took advantage of his autism and funding he could receive. I feel very sad writing this review as at point one I thought they were doing what was best for my son.

My son has attended Foxhouse nursery from 1yr to 3yrs old. The staff are always friendly and professional, he has a great time when he is there because the staff provide excellent play/learning activities. He comes home filthy from playing outdoors, messy play and just generally enjoying himself. He gets to do lots of things he doesn't at home as trying to manage the clean up on your own is tricky! They spend so much time outdoors playing and using natural resources which is fabulous. The nursery were happy to try bottle feeding him (breastfed at home) when I first returned to work and embraced our use of cloth nappies. The staff have since been so patient with my son and his potty training which has taken him a while and lots of changes of clothes!

My little girl attended Foxhouse nursery from being 1 and has now just finished to start school. I cannot recommended Foxhouse enough. She has been so happy and supported there. More than anything else it's the staff that make it such a special place. They are all amazing and I have never once worried leaving my daughter there, quite the opposite. She has been so happy there and I'm so glad we chose it as her nursery.

Our son has been coming to Foxhouse for just over 18 months, he has autism and the nursery have been with us every step of the way; through his long transition into nursery, emotionally with us through the diagnosis and now with putting together an educational healthcare plan. Its been a learning curve for all of us and I couldnt be more proud of all the staff at the nursery for how theyve handled the process. With the extra paperwork and worrisome mum, they have always looked after my gorgeous boy as if he were their own and encouraged all the children there to accept him just as he is. The biggest compliment I can give for what theyve taught the children is kindness. My son has learned with their help to engage with others, share, follow routines and not once has he been forced to do anything he couldnt or wouldnt. He starts school in September and even though Im emotional about the change, im excited because hes ready thanks to Foxhouse. Eighteen months ago I never would have thought this was possible. Thank you to all the staff and management there for learning on this journey with us and always being there!

Foxhouse is a small intimate nursery with around 15 children per day. They spend a lot of time outdoors and go on trips to the park and picnics.
