After commenting on a couple of fb posts, Highfield asked if I would be kind enough to give them a review. I am more than happy to. I looked after my friends mum for a while before she moved in to Damfield. It was quite hard on the family initially but the staff were wonderful. I visited several times before lockdown and we were always made to feel welcome. It is spotlessly clean and very safe and secure (she had wandered off a couple of times in the past). My friend is so thankful that Mum is safe and happy where she is. I miss visiting and having a sing along! Highly recommend them.

(added 05.02.2021): Having already written a review I felt compelled to write another today. Covid has had a different effect on us all for me it has resulted in an increased workload making visiting my mum during the day extremely difficult. Having spoken to Damfield Gardens they arranged an early evening appointment for dad and I to see her, meaning that I get that valuable time with her. Being early evening it also means that my sisters, who are not local, can join us on Facetime we have our family back together for that short time and the memories we create will last us a lifetime. Cant thank Damfield enough they go above and beyond. (previous review) My mum has been at Damfield Gardens since November 2018 and what can I say? The professionalism of the staff, the care they take of her (both mentally and emotionally) and the trust she has in them gives us immense reassurance that the hardest decision my family has ever had to make has been the right one for her. Particularly in these extremely difficult COVID 19 times the home has put the health and wellbeing of the residents and staff at the forefront of their daily lives as a family we will forever be grateful.

We as a family cannot thank the staff at Damfield Gardens enough. We sadly had to make the decision to move Dad into care in August 2020. This was the hardest decision we ever made and worsened due to the Pandemic. The staff were amazing, answered all our questions and also did a video tour of the home to allow us to make an informed decision without visiting. We decided that we would take dad to Damfield Gardens for a trial as we needed to be happy with our decision. The weeks have now turned into months and despite a rocky first few months dad has finally settled and we are at peace knowing he is being cared for and is happy. Whilst dad was settling in the staff kept us informed and reassured is this was totally normal. Even though we have never met these people in person I trust them to give dad the best possible care. In our opinion they are amazing and we cant wait till we can finally meet everyone. We call every day, have FaceTime with dad on a regular basis and love seeing photos on the Facebook page. We are truly so grateful for all the staff and cant thank them enough. You are the best.
