Very unhappy with this 'butcher'. I went in last week to ask for some beef skirt. The butcher said he had some so I asked for 2lb (special price for 2lb, but still very expensive). He brought a big lump of meat out and gave me 3 thick slices. I know that skirt comes in thin sheets, not a big lump, but the butcher swore that it was skirt. I took it home, and realised it wasn't skirt. I made Cornish pasties (you always use skirt for pasties), but terrible, really tough. I will have to use the remainder of my purchase for a slow cooked casserole. If a butcher doesn't know what skirt is, he should take up a job as a road sweeper. Not happy at all.
