Joe Barker Guitar Tuition

I started lessons with Joe a year or so ago and have had a great time in each lesson. He knows his stuff and is incredibly flexible with what you want to learn. After having a few lessons in the past and trying to teach myself for a bit, I hit a plateau. Joe helped me push past this and helped me retain my desire to play guitar. If youre looking for guitar lessons in Macc, I couldnt recommend anyone more than Joe.

Joe is a fantastic teacher and we would highly recommend him! Our 8 year old daughter was a total beginner and we are so impressed how she has come on in only a short space of time. We are really impressed with all aspects of his teaching - patient and encouraging, and especially how he let's her decide what she would like to learn which makes it so enjoyable.

I started lessons with Joe two years ago as a complete beginner in my fifties. It's something I've always wanted to do just for my own enjoyment. Joe is a great teacher with lots of patience and a really good teaching style. I choose songs I like and we work through them with the aim of being able to just play along together and enjoy the lessons. About half of this time has been during the pandemic so we've adapted and used zoom when needed. I would totally recommend Joe to anyone who is thinking of learning to play the guitar.

I started guitar lessons with Joe just over two years ago (when I was 70!), more or less as an absolute beginner. Joe is very easy to got along with and he is very patient. He explains thing very thoroughly and will go over and over a piece of music with you until you have mastered it. He will teach virtually any piece of music you want to learn. His studio is well equipped too. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend Joes lessons. A very nice guy!
