Our experience so far has been really positive. My daughter had her brace fitted today, the staff are really great, and always seem to run to time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the practice.

My 13 year old is absolutely terrified of the dentist, orthodontist and the braces process and wants me to be in the room with him for support. He panics and gets upset. I have been told that I am not allowed in the room with him for covid reasons and minimising the amount of people together. Whilst I do understand there are still serious issues with corona virus I find it laughable that thousands of people can gather for festivals wearing no masks with no social distancing, but I can not sit be in the same room as my child (we were all wearing masks and sanitise our hands and take regular lateral flow tests for school and work purposes). I suggest you change your policy so that a parent can comfort and support their child.

We had a terrible experience with this practice, and with Janet Gledhill in particular. They did not trim the wires when fitting our daughters braces so the wires were hooking into her cheeks. They were trimmed at an emergency appointment the next day by a dentist found via calling 111. The practice at first admitted that there had been a mistake but Janet Gledhill denied this when we saw her at the next appointment. She was extremely rude and dismissive. They refused to let me enter the building to accompany our daughter, who was not comfortable going in alone after the initial mistake and the way we were treated. Janet Gledhill removed her mask on several occasions when in close proximity to our daughter. We filed a complaint but they refused to acknowledge it, and did not follow their complaints procedure. Their behaviour has been absolutely shocking.
