This is my local Church it is easy to find on windmill street MACCLESFIELD a short distance from the main road (mill lane)there's parking on the road as with most churches, there's wheelchair access and the door is a short distance from the gate ie 40ft and the path is an even tarmac surface, inside the pews have been removed and more comfortable seats are in place, it is light and airy thanks to a renovation, there are 3 toilets including a disabled access toilet, and a kitchen where food and hot and cold drinks are served after the service, there's also a large entrance hall which gives access to the bell tower and a reasonable sized room for young children and babies with toys to play with, there is an organ but it is not used instead a more modern approach is the musician's (which I am pleased about not being a fan of organ music and heavy hymns).outside the church is the old school playground where vegetables are grown and BBQ'S are held in the summer months. there is a relaxed atmosphere with the services which is welcoming, there are a small number of graves (6 I think) there are a number of trees in the graveyard, and if you look carefully you can see 3 bat boxes which I have made whilst the building was having some renovation work done.
