Oriental House

Inedible fish. The batter tasted like eggs, the fish itself was flat and tasteless, the chips were sort of ok. The only part I liked was the curry sauce. Worst of all was an upset stomach the next morning. Never again. Avoid.

Great food different from the usual menus which is a refreshing change, the service is very good, but the shop is cold, and needs a major facelift, but do not be put off by the decor, many other Chinese takeaways are far dearer and unjustified in their price hikes which is no more than greed, but the Oriental House is a definite favourite.

Bought a takeaway last night and it was so disappointing! We got two Chop suey rolls, chips, egg fried rice and bbq sauce. The Chop suey rolls were bland, the bean sprouts had a lack in flavour and even the meat inside didnt help to make it better, they were a very very crunchy like it had been pre cooked and then cooked again, the chips were very over cooked and some were solid. The bbq sauce looked so good but didnt have much flavour either. The rice was the best thing about it all as it had a bit of flavour. Very disappointing wont be coming back sadly even though a year ago it was brilliant quality
