Characterful and buzzing cafe. In an impressive old mill building. The location next to the Macclesfield canal is attractive. And of course most importantly the food and drink is of a good standard

Overall a pretty disappointing experience. We stopped in after a walk along the canal for some drinks and a sweet treat. We chose to sit outside as the weather was pleasant and inside was like a sauna. Our drinks were brought out quite quickly and we assumed our cakes and scones would follow. We waited and waited and waited Eventually I went back up to see where they had got to and seemingly they had forgotten that part of the order. I was told they would bring them out immediately. They followed 5 minutes later. We asked the girl for a complimentary refill on our pot of tea given the mix up and would of been nice with the scones, to which we were told to go order and pay for another if we wanted one. No apology for the delays or poor service. Next time well just bring a flask and save the 25!
