Shopped at Woodcock Butchers Mablethorpe today and was really impressed with the service we received, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were all bright and cheerful and we found the meat was very lean and well presented. We made a bulk buy from them and found the bill was very reasonable. We will be making this our favourite Butchers from now on. Well done to all the staff there and thank you. We will be back. :)

We live in the area about 10 miles away and drive over each Thursday to buy from here. Either phone or look on Google maps for the shortcut from the road behind which doesn't have parking restrictions. Superb service - I telephone in advance on Wednesdays for lamb (they get it in Thursdays), meat always cut to very close to requested weight, chicken exactly 1.5kg to fit my rotisserie (they have bigger too!), always superb quality. On Thursday (beware, market day, main street closed) they give 10% discount. The meat actually tastes far better than supermarket and at about the same price as Lidl, but this butcher also has the economical cuts like shin which I remember my mother cooking 60 years ago. The bacon hocks are huge, tender, and ridiculously low price, about 2, breast of lamb lean and tender, and real farm free range chicken that has taste. Today I bought pork shoulder which I'd intended my (Chinese-Malaysian) wife to chop up , but it's so good we'll probably roast it. The meat pies and haslet are particularly good. As a man sent by my wife I regularly buy what the ladies suggest and which my wife always enjoys. Probably not what the average holidaymaker needs, but they will always cut whatever Chinese cut of meat my wife needs! They also give lots of meaty, generous bones for my collie X.

The meat from here is simply the best. The staff are very friendly. Hygiene is very good in the shop too prices are reasonable too .
