Right from the start (which was quite some time ago now) Jonathan made us feel completely at ease. It was our first building work project on our first home, so we were clueless. No question was silly, Jonathan was extremely thorough with regards to explaining things to us and how each step would work. He spent lots of time with us and we never felt rushed or an inconvenience. We had some problems with planning permission - bats etc, which delayed the work and we stayed in touch as we knew we wanted to go with Hartwell. Jonathan & Josh have been brilliant from the get go, managing every aspect of the work themselves and working really hard to get it done. Our house was inevitably a building site, but friends and family (including some in trades) commented on just how organised, clean and tidy things were being left. I would not hesitate to recommend them, genuinely the nicest guys and the most hard working people Ive ever met. They have gone above and beyond to ensure we are happy at all times, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Theyve turned our little 2 bed semi into a 3 bed forever home They deserve all the success in the world. We had Hartwell projects carry our our home rennovation, i can honestly say that they were faultless, from the detail that they went into on the quote, to the site set up, then during the job they left the site totally spotless and went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy every step of the way. We'd been looking to add an over garage/utility room extension to our house for a while but finally bit the bullet and sorted out planning permission and took the plunge. This was our first building work and after getting a few quotes and meeting some local builders we went with Jon from Hartwell Projects and we really couldn't be happier. Considering the work started about a month before Lockdown for COVID-19 we were very lucky that Jon and Josh could continue the work safely by not knocking through until absolutely necessary and also by going above and beyond to keep the existing ceiling on our utility room so that we didn't lose use of the washing machine and tumble drier. They were very patient with our two little boys and always great to deal with. The site was always kept tidy and the disruption to both ourselves and our neighbours was kept to a minimum. Communication was always excellent and Jon was very understanding with some of my rather stupid questions that I asked due to being new to this! The extension was completed on budget and in very good time (considering what was/is currently going on in the world) and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hartwell to anyone looking to get work done. Just to add a little icing to the cake Josh even made our boy's a little ramp to use with their bikes and scooters when he finished which he obviously didn't have to do but was a really nice touch and really well received!

We delayed progressing our idea for an extension due to fear of the process and risk of choosing the wrong builder. After an initial meeting with Jonathan to discuss our plans and expectations we received a detailed quote with a clear outline of responsibilities and a timeline for each key stage of the work. We also received details of qualifications and trade memberships along with details of previous work. We made our decision Hartwell Projects it was. Before the work commenced we discussed and agreed rules around site access and safety, especially with Covid in mind and our need to isolate. Progress was quick. The site was always safe, clean and tidy. Jonathan and Josh were always considerate of the neighbours and kept the road and pathways clean and clear. Jonathan did all the liaison with the building inspectors so we were able to watch the build safely. Our initial nervousness was soon a distant memory as the build was completed on time and to the agreed budget. We are delighted with the result and can only speak positively about Jonathan, Josh, their work ethic and focus on working with the customer. It was a painless, positive experience and I have no hesitation in recommending Hartwell Projects.

Hartwell Projects have recently completed the construction of a single storey dining room extension to an excellent standard. From quotation to completion Hartwell Projects went the extra mile to provide a professional, efficient and helpful service throughout the project. Jon was always more than happy to give advice and suggestions on how to improve aspects of the building and ensure every facet of the works was completed in the best possible way. For the duration of the project I wasn't resident at the property but I was fully able to trust Jon to efficiently run the site, liaise with building control and stay within schedule. I would fully recommend Hartwell Projects to anybody looking for a truly superior builder!
