Our boy is going here. Beautiful pre-school - modern methods and tools, friendly and concerned staff. Very engaging with the kids and very approachable and communicative. They get the kids outside a lot which we love. They integrate family history and detail into their play. They monitor development and behaviour and keep a diary online. We love this. All in all they are doing a terrific job - hats off.

In the words of an ex member of staff 'this preschool wouldn't be so popular if it wasn't the feeder to the primary school and although she could vouch for the physical safety of the kids there she can't for their emotional safety...says it all. Nice facilities, shame my son was terrified to go there for so long and I didn't listen to him.

My grandson has attended pre-school for 2 years and how that time has flown! As the end of term approaches I would just like to say a huge thank you to the all staff who have been absolutely wonderful. My grandson has thrived and been so happy there and we have always felt that he has had the very best foundation to his education. Thank you all again for being, well....... just brilliant!!!

I can't praise this pre-school highly enough! My son has attended for two and a half years and has blossomed during his time there. The high children-to-staff ratio and the limitless enthusiasm of the staff (along with excellent facilities) mean that children make excellent progress in a nurturing environment. The manager and SENCO is outstanding and really goes out of her way to ensure all needs are met. I will be so sad to say goodbye at the end of this term as my son moves on to school; I'm already looking forward to my daughter joining in 18 months time!

My son started at this Preschool shortly before being tested for ASD, the school were very quick to put in place PicD and successfully applied for funding for 1:1 support before the diagnosis was confirmed, they were accredited to use PECS and have taken him through many levels, they have been proactive at all stages and helped train us in these procedures, with a great deal of support for our son, and for us. We were happy enough with this, but when we started to work with Portage and the C.D.C, we were amazed to learn that not every child gets this level of support, each time we visit support groups or liaise with Dorset County SEN support staff they tell us how impressed they are with the interventions put in place, and the quality of the setting support plans, and the input to the EHCP. And each time we talk to other parents of SEN children they tell us that they struggle to get a fraction of the support that we receive. (Sorry about the Jargon in this review, but if you have an SEN child you will follow what it means)
