We run a very busy B&B, we approached Steve because 'the walls were sweating', some of the property dates back 400 years old. He explained the "old bricks" were struggling to cope with the modern central heating system. He phoned that evening gave us his quote and the estimated days to complete the job. Before work began he required 50% of all monies upfront of which we did by bank transfer. A day and a half into the job he informed us that the job was a 1000 more than quoted over the phone. We were naturally shocked but more alarmingly he had not produced any paperwork to back up his fees. The next day he turned up whilst we were out collected his tools and left the job less than half done. He left no note, he would not respond to our calls in order to have the problem resolved and the work completed. Our B&B still remains closed ....... NO we would not recommend anyone goes through such an upsetting experience, not to mention the financial loss we have incurred.
