Stopped off with my 9 year old earlier today. We both loved the step back in time & the amount of effort spent on such a large collection is wonderful.Worth a visit if you are in the area.

It's like a time capsule. I'd guess the layout was built 30 years ago at least and hasn't changed in the meantime; even back then it was trying to capture a lost world, when railways had some romance and carried passengers (not customers.) The details are lovingly modelled, the trains run reliably on, and the rest of the space is taken up with modelling memorabilia and relics of lines long gone. The display about the Lynton to Barnstaple line is particularly informative and reveals just how far that project has to go. Free admission, donations welcome - you couldn't possibly not leave something!

Loved this place despite the layout being old and dusty. Great inspiration to modellers of all ages.
