(Translated by Google) A small and free museum about the terrible disaster that struck Lynmouth in 1952. A devastating body of water swept through the village. In the museum you get a good picture of the disaster. The images reminded me of the flood disaster of 1953 in our own Netherlands.

If you are on Lynmouth this is a MUST see. It tells of the 1952 flood on the night of 15th August that ripped out the heart of the village, claiming the lives of 62 people. What's more it is funded completely by donation so if you can spare 1 it will be gratefully received. Unfortunately the display is up a flight of stairs at the side of the building, which excludes wheelchair users from visiting.

Loads of information about the 1952 flood and the people effected. Could have been signposted better that it was upstairs in the building.
