The cliff train is unique, I've never seen or been on anything quite like it. And they say it's the longest and steepest of its kind in the world, which definitely makes it unique. It's definitely quite steep, and felt a little daunting on the way up, with it making creaking sounds and rattling (not to deter anyone, it's perfectly safe - it was constructed in the Victorian era!), but us up and down safe and sound. It's not just a quaint attraction, but it's serves practical and efficient purpose of getting you from Lynmouth at the bottom to Lynton at the top, and Lynton & Lynmouth are real gems, and the view of the sea and cliffside enclosure is beautiful.
