Lovely only fashioned sweet shop takes me back to childhood. Loads of selection and reasonable prices. The young lady I was served by was very polite. A small shop was hard to look with a few customers in but not their fault it is brimming with every sweet you can think of

I love a good old fashioned sweet shop and this is one of them. I don't love Old fashioned sweet shop owners/servers who are rude to the "Grockles" for no other reason other than they're taking a bit of time choosing what to buy! (what a terrible problem to have for the owners, people wanting to spend money in their shop)! The other odd thing is that the old fashioned sweets are served in plastic bags, secured with a plastic tie, which is totally at odds with both the environment and the ethos of it being an old fashioned sweet shop. Nothing old fashioned about plastic bags(well not in a good way)! What would be wrong with a good old paper bag, fastened with a twist of the wrist? There are free ranging ponies, donkeys and cattle not far down the road at Boltons bench and the sea not far away. We all know how some people just chuck their rubbish on the ground. C'mon Old fashioned sweet shop, at the moment you're choosing not to look after your own environment. Are paper bags that much more expensive than plastic one's? A smile might be nice too (I'm not holding my breath for the smile, but please, paper bags)!
