We've been staying at Okeover for many years & always return when we can. The house is in a quiet Cul de Sac with plenty of parking. The atmosphere is always welcoming & relaxed in a comfortable setting. There are 2 bedrooms with either double or twin beds & self-contained flat enabling self-catering with family room, kitchenette, lounge/diner, separate loo & large bathroom. Tea, coffee, milk & biscuits are provided. And if you get the chance opt for a superb cooked to order breakfast. Okeover is very good value for the quality of accomodation & service provided. A short walk into the village will bring you a large choice of eateries, including pubs, restaurants, tea rooms & cafes. Plus clothes shops, gift shops, one of which, Pages, sells fresh coffee. The New Forest Centre & information centre is located in the main car park in the village. This has an interesting museum including the mirror which inspired Alice Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carrol. The centre also hosts a wonderful gift shop with local gifts, clothing, china, books, bags & confectionery. A short walk to the bottom of the village brings you to one of the entrances of the New Forest where you'll find cattle, ponies & donkey's roaming freely. Plus in the summer months cricket is played. Follow the road along for approx 5 miles will bring you to Beaulieu. The beauty of staying at Okeover is being able to park the car up & not touch it again until it's sadly time to leave, as there's so much to see & take in whilst here.
