Pleasant woodland walks, though muddy after rain. Good walking shoes needed. The charcoal burning is interesting. Could do with more information to make it interactive. Not to be attempted on your own unless you know the layout of the woods.

Pondhead is a great area near Lyndhurst - fantastic walks & plenty to see all year round..

Beautiful old inclosure that has remained completely fenced for centuries. Now managed by a conservation Trust restoring the traditional hazel coppice. Lots of community events, courses and volunteering opportunities, we attended an open day and saw coppicing, charcoal making, working horses and some gorgeous flora and fauna.

Lovely easy paths and beautiful scenery Great for a dog walk as I was informed that there are no deer in this inclosure
