My son and I just had the most wonderful stay here. Loved waking up to the sound of lions by the cabins and the festoons and fire pit at night were just perfect. The rooms are snug but very comfortable, effective heater, very nice complimentary tea brand in the pots. Ive been blown away by the staff, we accidentally left a precious steel water bottle on a wall outside a restaurant a 15min walk away from the camp last night, I was planning to walk down to get it this morn only to wake up this morning to it sitting outside our room, how they knew it was ours Ill never know! Very kind and attentive. Also they arranged a mini bus back from the restaurant last night as it was cold and rainy, which was hugely appreciated. The park is vast! 600 acres! The animal selection here is also huge and varied and the enclosures big and beautifully maintained. The rewilding policy also makes it a fascinating place to visit with knowledgable keepers only too happy to chat about the animals, most of which are incredibly rare and endangered. We absolutely loved it and Pinewood was a lovely, affordable way to experience the park. Recommend the Garden Room full breakfast as a treat, although spenny, its a great spread and high quality produce. All in all cant recommend this highly enough for a short break with the kids. And as a guest you get to roam the park long after day visitors have gone which is very cool. My only frustration is that I forgot the overnight stay also gets you free entry to Howletts, which is also apparently amazing and has elephants being rewilded by train soon, sadly its up near Canterbury which is the wrong way for us heading back to London today, next time! Going to come back with my daughter next as I know shell love it too! We paid extra for a Baboon feeding experience which I was sceptical about, because of the cost, but it was worth every penny and a real highlight. Also! Just to add. We discovered my son left his beloved toy polar bear in the zoo somewhere and the kind Port Lympne staff not only found it, they arranged for it to be posted back to us in London. What a wonderful place!

Absoletly loved my trip to Port Lympne and was fortunate to stay! was a lovely experience. Could only afford it because there was an offer at the time but was very worth every penny. had many laughs as came during the winter and trying to find our way through the zoo at night was very amusing- Don't know if we were suppose to but was another experience in itself! With the perfect balance of being in the zoo but far enough from the enclosures to give the animals there space
