Editing to update - recently the service has been much improved and staff look and behave so much more professionally these days. The lovely pharmacist is very approachable and he is has been very understanding and caring in his manner. The other staff are also very helpful and friendly. A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE TEAM for all the hard work. How things have changed! _______________________________ The following was from over a year ago: Since it changed hands a few years ago, Lyminge Pharmacy has gone downhill. Right to the bottom. Stock issues mean that frequently items are not available when needed and they are now incapable of sourcing items for the afternoon of that day, unlike before. Usually when I go to collect a prescription having spoken to the GP earlier in the day I am told that the prescription has only been received from the GP that day and then looked at as if I am crazy to try to collect it. Whilst the original staff remain friendly, polite, professional and very helpful, the new staff have seldom lived up to this standard. There have been countless occasions when the pharmacy has not been open due to lack of pharmacist on that day which has caused no end of problems. They are now blaming 'a national shortage of pharmacists' which, given their track record, I do not believe. I understand the new owner is a pharmacist - surely he should step up and stop this nonsense. If he isn't capable of running such an essential service then frankly, he should not be permitted to be in a position where he can fail.
