I viewed Lyminge Library, as it was one of the last surviving railway station buildings from the Elham Valley Line which linked Folkestone to Canterbury. Parts of the old platform can be seen to the rear of the building. The other remaining stations at Bekesbourne and Bridge are residential and not open for viewing.

Unfortunately I arrived on a day when the library closed early. The staff member was very helpful and gave me a leaflet which explained the opening hours, especially over the Christmas period. The library appeared very cosy and there was a good selection of books and one could relax and escape into an adventure, depending on what book one chose.
