Millside

If you're in Lyme Regis, visiting Millside is a must. The service and attentiveness of the staff are apparent from the second you walk in. Our meal was exemplary, from starters, through to deserts. If I hadn't been leaving, I would have come back the following night. It seems between them, the couple that runs Millside have it nailed across the board, from the culinary masterpieces being crafted in the kitchen, to John's top-notch front of house and hosting skills. My only annoyance is that this isn't in London so I could visit more frequently. I guess I'll be in Lyme Regis more often than anticipated now, and will have to bring friends!

This restaurant ticked all the boxes for me. It's small but airy with good space between the tables. The soundtrack is just at the right level and the people are great. And then there's the food: The menu is small, which always gets my vote. My partner had fresh crab and I ate baked sea bream. The rose wine was excellent and reasonably priced. Would visit again. Great setting - excellent friendly staff and gorgeous food.

Lunch for two today could not have been more perfect. Cooked to order, the scallops, together with their corals, were succulent and beautifully presented as were the steaks. The service was faultless and friendly and I highly recommend this chic gem of a restaurant. Dietary restrictions: My request for non-dairy milk was no problem.
