Lydney & District Hospital

I must say that this was my first time here, we moved to Lydney about 10 months ago. I had to have an xray on my knees. I was 15 mins early, there was noone waiting, I saw a reslly pleasant gentleman there named Tom, he did my x-ray. I came out after about 5 mins all was done. Easy to.park too.

I had occasion to have to visit the minor unit facilities. Ten out of ten is all I can say. The NHS at its very best. We are indeed very fortunate to have a local hospital here in Lydney.

I visited the MIU this week after injuring my hand. I was triaged quickly, x-rayed and bandaged up with a tetanus booster all inside 90 minutes! All the staff I dealt with were pleasant and professional. They made the best out of a bad situation and I'm grateful for Ben's help!

Are they having a laugh. Im not special, I dont deserve priority over anyone else but this place is an abject example of inefficiency. I came into the minor injury unit with a cut to my finger that looked like it needed a stitch, a five minute job. I was triaged in a few minutes and told Id probably only need a steri strip and Ill be on my way. Great I thought. That was two hours ago. I could forgive the long delay only why couldnt the triage nurse whack on a steri strip. Also, there are a total of 10 people in here, allowing for people accompanying only there are 7 casualties only. These people want massive pay rises dont forget. This is what is wrong with this country. Useless public services. Sorry if Ive upset a few snowflakes but Google can always sensor me and cancel my response so we can pretend the world is working correctly.

My husband took me to Lydney hospital as I had difficulty in breathing. A lovely young lady called Jess took me in straight away and another lady (didn't remember her name) anyway looked after me and called for ambulance to take me to Gloucester hospital. Ambulance men and Gloucester hospital staff were also very supportive and have to say excellent. Had to stay in Gloucester for 3 days but they sorted me out thank you to all involved.
