George created a beautiful harp for me and it was worth the wait. It has a gorgeous tone and is lightweight and stands upright on its own when not playing it, which is handy.

George is a really good person to deal with. I have bought two harps from him; a simple one at a bargain price, and lately a Gothic Bray Harp. Both instruments are superbly crafted and a pleasure to play. I am happy! If you are looking for an excellent instrument, look no further; you have found the right maker.

George made a beautiful 19 string triangular lap harp with an Ash frame and a birch ply soundbox. It looks stunning (contemporary yet traditional) and has a wonderful resonance. I have owned a cheap mass produced harp before this one, but frankly the difference in sound and quality of finish between the two is like comparing fizzy vinegar with champagne. The difference in price between this luthier made quality piece and a mass produced one was so negligible I would recommend anyone considering a similar harp to invest in one produced by a skilled professional. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
