Me and a few friends went to Lydd a couple of weeks ago. It was my second time at this circuit. The karting itself was fine, and the staff out on track were good. However the gentleman (who I think owns the business) was not a pleasant person at all. He came across as very pompous and arrogant, and spoke down to all of us in my group. I think he could do with taking an intensive course on how to speak to customers, because he had no people skills at all and it was very off putting. I appreciate safety is of paramount importance, but the 22 minute video briefing was at least ten minutes too long with too many mentions of getting your moneys worth. It felt like we were in detention, and the two people in our group who hadnt been karting before were left confused and anxious after the briefing due to longwinded explanations that didnt inspire anyone to enjoy themselves. The worst thing however was the lack of facilities for action camera users. When I asked I was told I couldnt use mine, however this information wasnt given anywhere on Lydds website if it was Id have booked a different circuit like Buckmore Park who have GoPro mounts on all their karts. The main gentleman spoke down to me about the camera issue too, and while the karting was good I was left bitterly disappointed because I was expecting to get some footage. Lydd should stick some suction mounts on their karts, I would have paid extra for it, or used the one I had in my car. This was never given to me as an option. I wont be returning to this circuit sadly.

Visited here for a 4 day race weekend. Its a great track with nice facilities. It's a shame you have to actually pay to have a shower though
