Himalayan Zest

Very rarely is a curry so unpleasant that I have to leave it but that was a the case here. Both my wife and I had curries that had such a strange taste that we couldnt finish it. Starters were OK but the main course was strange with a strong tangy taste that was horrible. 70 wasted. If people think this is a good curry they really need to look further afield. I have eaten in hundreds of Indian restaurants and rarely had such a bad curry. Service was also very slow but the guy who served us was great. Sorry to be so damning but both of us were so disappointed. EDIT: I find it strange to be asked in the reply what we had as we were quite clear in our opinions before we paid and it was clear which dishes we had ordered. Its just the usual get out answer: why wasnt is dealt with at the time before we paid our bill.

Read some of the other reviews, some a little negative about the time to get served. Decided to try it out anyway, on a Saturday evening. Arrived about 8pm, the restaurant had a number tables occupied but not packed or busy. I was seated and provided with a menu and drinks almost immediately. With just one member of staff in the resturant it did take a while before my order was taken. But once my order was taken the food arrived fairly quickly, with a short delay between courses which lead to a very relaxed dining experience. The food was excellent and as described on the menu, spicy and certainly got my taste buds dancing (in a positive way). Next time in this area I will certainly be making another visit.
