I first received a Gideons Bible when at school on the 1970s. Although at the time I wasn't a Christian, looking back, accepting the small book clearly set in train a gradual change culminating in me becoming s Christian a few years later. About 10 years ago a friend asked if I would like to join the organisation. Although I was fairly busy I was somehow I was drawn to the idea and have not regretted the decision. I wouldn't consider myself to be an out going evangelist, far from it, but I feel in some small way I am playing my part in something good and right.
