- The DSG oil was very old and dirty which caused the gearbox to stop functioning properly. This shows the DSG was not being serviced properly, or at all and wasn't checked before being sold to me.
- The engine started misfiring on all cylinders.
- Fuel injectors needed replacing
- O/S Gaiter needed replacing
- Leaking radiator needed replacing
- Snapped window mechanism needed replacing - No fault of anyone.
- This week, the light came on for low engine oil but the car was sold to me on the basis that it was serviced and it had a fresh MOT. Topping up the oil has led to a pressure warning light advising that I stop driving the car immediately, so it's now back in the garage with another repair bill on the way shortly.
Warranty doesn't cover any of this.
Some of these things could have happened by chance under my ownership but having only driven about 3k miles I don't believe the car was sold to me in good condition. Whilst I appreciate GMG helping me out with the 1600 bill, I got this car for 6500 and it's already racked up nearly a third of that cost in extra repair bills.
I contacted GMG about a VW Scirocco and the whole process was smooth and easy. Noah gave me plenty of information and arranged a viewing for me nice and quickly. Car was in pristine showroom condition when I went to see it and I had to have it. Returned the next week to pick it up and has been a joy ever since. Comes with a RAC warranty for extra piece of mind. Really nice bunch of blokes and would definitely visit again. The only very slight downside was a missing bluetooth controller but I've sourced another one so no big deal. Cheers Noah & team.
