Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated somewhat over the last couple of years. Chemists are usually there to support its local communities, open longer hours to allow local people access to medicines and so forth. Unfortunately, this chemist is run like an office, 9-6 with a half day on Wednesday, i have now heard that it will not be opening at the weekends either, making locals travel further afield to collect medicines and prescriptions. I suppose they are making enough money from the care homes to worry about its local community and the local residents needs. being a worker, I attempted to get into the chemists at 1757, 3 mins before the chemist advertises it closes, the door was locked and it had a couple of customers inside. me and another 2 customers, who happened to arrive at the same time were told "sorry we are closed", I only wanted some simple linctus for a cold I was suffering with, it would have taken less than a minute to serve me, but the employees attitude was disgusting. if I could give this business 0 stars I would, based on lack of community spirit, general customer service and overall performance. I dare say I will get the standard reply that is reflected in all negative comments about this business.
