Never had any problems with the surgery. Called for an appointment just after 1pm and was 10th in the que. The que went down really quickly and when got through spoke to a bery helpful receptionist. Asked either for a face to face or telephone appointment and was told I could come that day at 4pm Would like to be able to book online appointments again but othe that that have always had good service from the surgery

Called on several occasions trying to get help with my asthma, following my action plan I needed an urgent appointment. Reception staff were very rude, refused to listen or help (expected me to wait call back at 8am the next day to see if any appointments may be available, or wait 9 days for an appointment for the asthma clinic). Asked for the practice manager to call, who did but paramedics were with me. Asked for several calls back from her, which have not happened! Had to call out paramedics as asthma attack deteriorated, needing several nebulisers and strong medication to get back under some control. (This could have been prevented if an appointment had been given). Called the next day to book a follow-up appointment, which NHS guidelines and my action plan state needs to be within 48 hours, told the only appointment was the following week.

I had to click on one star to give feedback....so I hope no one thinks of this as a positive for Priory Gardens Surgery in anyway and it doesnt add to their current rating of 2.8. It appears to me that all the receptionists at Priory Gardens want to do is turn people back and stop you from seeing the GPs or getting your tests done. You never see the doctor unless its at the instance of the GP themselves...and you can count yourself lucky if they grudgingly deign to allow you the luxury of a telephone appointment. Last year I booked in October to see the GP. They moved the appointment until 2023 January. I had to go in for a test recently and despite the fact that they called it a walk in, I was told the service was full. I made it a point of duty to count the people in the waiting room. There were 7. And we had over 45 mins to the end of the walk in. And like they always do they were quick to point out other places where i could sort myself out instead of rebooking with Priory Gardens. I'm beginning to wonder if they only initiaite contact to have it on record that they did invite you for a test/treatment. And I'm beginning to wonder if Priory Gardens actually intends to follow through on any patient treatment or action. I can appreciate that there are problems on the NHS (just like every other sector) but thats not the problem here. So I sincerely hope no one comes under my post to explain rubbish and ask for a call so they can investigate the matter properly. Check the reviews and stop with the performancing. This is an awful establishment and I do not understand how people who are meant to provide healthcare services can be so rude, narrow minded and so lacking in empathy! How can a receptionist have the right to turn people back and stop them from accessing the service? That should move over to a senior nurse or GP themselves...especially in a surgery like Priory Gardens where they have receptionists who seem to be perpetually angry at life and constantly take it out on the unfortunate patients. Do better.
