I attempted to speak to someone with a query that I had, and frankly, the person with whom I spoke to didnt appear to care about my query, and did not do anything to help in solving it. I felt fobbed off: I felt like she didnt really care as it was close to their closing time and she didnt want to deal with the nature of my issue (which may have been lengthy). When I told her my problem, she just told me to contact my local branch: despite my issue spanning across two branches. I am perplexed as to how this is the standard of Customer Service for their Head Office as my experience with the Birmingham Branch was brilliant: the staff there care and do the most to make sure that you are okay. I am bitterly disappointed, and hope that they improve upon this, as I would hate for that to tarnish their otherwise excellent reputation.

I hadn't heard back from my initial enquiry so I called this branch to ask for help, to explain my situation and my goals but the lady cut me off repeatedly, everytime I asked a question she would loudly sigh, she was very hostile and blatantly pushing the conversation to an end, she would not listen to anything I had to say and I had to hang up because she was completely insulting and absolutely unwilling to listen or help. I told her I had intentions of relocating and she just kept saying they aren't going to respond until you have a fixed address she would not let me speak to explain I do in fact have a fixed address and this is just a potential future endeavour. First impressions count and I feel monumentally let down and disappointed, if you are that obstinate and unwelcoming you need to get out of recruitment or any customer service role. I have never been spoken to like that or felt so belittled. This is absolutely abhorrent behaviour.

I applied for a job through Brook Street and in a nutshell they changed my start date 3 times, so I have to keep changing appointments to make sure I was free to start, they do not respond to calls or emails, unless as I have found you ask for delivery and read receipts on your emails, they kept asking for the same information to be sent on numerous occasions which meant a delay in processing my application. I have complained before to them and received a call from 2 managers which improved things slightly, for 1 day, I have turned down other work as I thought I was going to start with them. I even sent an email to say I would have to decline any job with them as I cannot work like that where I do not know what I am doing or where I have to do all the chasing, I forgot to tick that I wanted delivery receipts etc and guess what no reply. Not sure how they have lasted 70 years if they work like this
