SHODDY Materials, SHODDY Workmanship, SHODDY Service Update: Barry Bolton Windows attended the rescheduled court case in which we asked for them to repay our costs of replacing their botched leaking porch roof, with a roof which complied with the requirement of being structurally sound, waterproof and draining the rain water into the gutter. The judge considered all evidence and deemed our request to be perfectly reasonable. Barry Bolton Windows was ordered to repay our repair costs as well as our legal fees. They have now accepted the judgment and reimbursed our costs, only two and a half years after our first complaints. Be Aware that this company is not registered with, or a member of any trade organisation that could provide quality assurance, Ombudsman or any sort of conflict resolution in case of problems with the installation. We had to go through the Small Claims Process at the County Court to get this sorted. Original Post: We just had the one and a half year anniversary of our Barry Bolton Windows Ltd built porch. From the first week of delivery we have suffered serious leakage and complained in writing to them about the problems, this to no avail. Five months after construction the ceiling sheets fell down and exposed seriously shoddy materials and workmanship with the porch roof in peril of falling down as it is not supported by a wall or anything solid, leaving it to the residing vulnerable senior citizen to prop up the porch roof frame to prevent it falling down and blocking the entrance to the premisses. Barry Bolton Windows declined any responsibility for the leakage and poor quality of installation. We have undertaken legal steps to have things put right. shoddy (shd) adj. shoddier, shoddiest 1. We did a renovation on our 1930's house and needed all our windows and doors replaced. Barry Bolton Windows did everything for us - 11 windows, 4 doors and 1 set of bifolds all with lots of different specifications. We were really pleased with the quality and experience we had with them, and they did everything they could to work to our builders' timings. The fitters were also really friendly and professional. We would 100% recommend them as it was a job well done!

Not long ago this company fitted new windows and had lots of problems with wrong fittings and windows too high to reach and on wrong positions etc. Outdoors they didn't fill up with cement of filler under pvc so "engeneer" was sent three times ,now I enclosed photo of his final bodge job. I can't believe it, do they behave the same way to everybody ? do I deserve all this? Since then Barry Bolton stop answering my questions. Definately not recommended company.
