Check in : Very swift and friendly, I was shown to my cottage, showed how the hot tub works etc. The site : Lovely, great amenities but also done in a subtle way. The cottage : Well appointed, comfortable, lovely bed, big shower, hot tub was amazing. Nice and clean although a bit of TLC needed - especially in the bathroom. The Bistro : When I checked in it was suggested to me to book in at the bistro as it gets very busy! When I arrived there later in the week there was one other table dining, a group of staff on the sofa having a drink and what appeared to be a teenage girl doing her homework!! Not busy with diners!! The atmosphere was strange, not a cosy bistro at all. Service and food arrival was fast - too fast! Id have liked to relax a little. After finishing I was asked if I wanted to look at the dessert menu, when I declined I was told to pay at the bar when I was ready. No offer of another drink, etc. Whilst I dont like to make personal comments, as the waiter was very attentive, his body odour was really off putting. Food was OK and reasonably priced but Id suggest the local pub as an alternative.

Stayed first time at Otter Falls, we had shire cottage very big, had Ants in kitchen, so that was a bit annoying, swimming pool cold, too cold couldn't take little one in, and needs some attention. Staff lovely, couldn't use pool table, due to fault with table. Wet weather, so needed to be able to use these facilities. Dog loved his walks. Just need these issues resolved.
