Katie altered my wedding dress and I can't recommend her enough! I felt so at ease whenever I went to see her, she's so friendly and so good at what she does - my dress fit like a glove! My experience with Katie at The Honiton Dressmaker was nothing short of phenomenal. She is professional, polite and also fabulous! I bought a wedding dress from a local boutique and Katie had the task of altering it for me. The job took a little longer than first expected due to the pandemic, and a cancelled wedding in between. Plus the fact I had changed dress sizes quite dramatically by the time my alterations needed doing, but Katie was absolutely wonderful - she completely rebuilt my wedding dress to my new size and it fitted me like a dream. She truly is an artist! I was lucky enough to wear my wedding dress twice due to my husband and I eloping and then having a friends and family wedding celebration afterwards, and I entrusted Katie to steam and check over my dress and veil for me on both occasions. I knew they were in safe hands! I have also asked her to alter a couple of other items for me as she is such an incredible seamstress. I must also give a big shout out and thank you to Katie's seamstress team mate, I'm so sorry I don't know your name, but you are fabulous too! Thank you ladies for taking such good care of me and my beautiful dress. I felt like a Goddess on my wedding day/s!! Katie is amazing - your true fairy godmother for your wedding dress/wedding day! She helps with your wedding dress, is so lovely to chat to, talks you through everything, helps you to see what you cant imagine yourself, gives you great tips and advice, and easily deals with tension between members of the bridal party. She is then also amazing at what she does with your dress. Her studio is lovely and set in beautiful surroundings. I could not recommend Katie more highly. Katie is truly lovely, super efficient and professional and unbelievably talented!! My wedding dress was 3 or 4 dress sizes too big and Katie altered it perfectly...a dream dress was made even more magical!!! I would strongly recommend Katie without hesitation to any Bride looking for alterations!
