We had tried to eat here for a while but unless you book well in advance there's no chance to get in, it's that popular. Due to this, we had high expectations. I give it 4 stars because it is a nice place, relaxed, clean, friendly and the service is better than in many places. Not as good and attentive as abroad (for example they don't refill your glasses) but it's certainly better than average, helpful and friendly. The food however was somewhat underwhelming. Good enough, nothing wrong with it, but also nothing special. Some in our group really liked it, others were a bit underwhelmed like myself. The sides were scalding hot, so clearly from the microwave. Generally all ok, we had a good enough meal and it's not overpriced either but I am not desperate to go back. There are better restaurants in Ludlow but I wouldn't mind eating there again if the situation presents itself.

We'd read recommendations online for Bistro 7 before we visited Ludlow and it did not disappoint. The meal was beautiful, each course perfectly presented and delicious. A large choice of wine as well, which was also very nice. A lovely, casual atmosphere as well - not too formal as these places can sometimes be! Overall we would highly recommend.
