I bought two stoves 18 months ago and am very pleased with them. Regrettably, what lets the company down is the customer service. The first problem was that the correct baseplates were unavailable so temporary ones were fitted (I wasn't told about this issue beforehand). After much chasing the correct ones arrived - over six months after the stoves themselves were installed. Although I was able to fit one myself I just couldn't manage the other and James came out to do it for me (thank you James - he was brilliant and went the extra mile). I've now had an issue with one of the stoves and rang the fitter who did the original job (and was recommended by Clearview). Having had no response from him I contacted the company and ended up going into the showroom in person as I hadn't received the callback promised. More promises. I've now used someone else to resolve the problem, which turned out to be a minor issue. But - is it too much to ask to have a phone call at least? A simple 'so sorry to hear you've had these problems - how can we help?'. Especially when you've spent thousands of pounds with them! Maybe some customer service training wouldn't go amiss?

Ordered a stove rope, they wrote down my details including a bank card, 2 weeks later no rope.... Phoned them, they said they would ring back ....they didn't. They hadn't taken payment so I ordered from elsewhere which I received next day and it was cheaper.... Then I got a text from bank saying these clowns had taken payment 4 weeks after I'd ordered it..... Obviously I'll be sending it back and asking if they know anything about GDPR

Have given 3 stars because there is nothing wrong with the stoves. It is the management that needs to learn what customer service and care means. Treating a customer with doubt and suspicion when faced with a problem is a disgrace. Frosty attitude and very strange behaviour at the factory premises was unbelievable. All we wanted was a simple repair but their would be a charge for it. Less than 6 months old a screw head failed on removing the glass for cleaning. We paid over 2k for the stove but the management and staff were awful. We refused to pay and quoted our statutory rights regarding a product being of mechantable quality. Next minute a strange guy is taking photos of the faulty part. Got it fixed anyway with the help of brilliant staff in a different location. Oh, and no surprise the MD was not available.

When we chased the delivery after the agreed 9 weeks the company would not arrange a delivery date. The lady was most rude even though we continued to state we wanted the goods and just wanted a delivery date to work to. The lady then offered a cancellation rather than a delivery date. She became very angry and put the phone down mid conversation with no attempt to resolve our question. After speaking to several others it would appear this approach to customers is not unusual and they are renown for their superior and rude attitude. Its a real shame as we already have one stove from them and its ok but expensive relative to others of the same/ superior quality. I would suggest there is a significant need to arrange customer service/ anger management training for their telephone / back office team.
