Lovely shop with great atmosphere. Excellent quality and customer service with very friendly and helpful staff. Would thoroughly recommend.

Really disappointing customer service, I'm sorry to say and the reason for reviewing is that it occurred on 2 occasions in December. I'd decided, after more than 2 years of pandemic chaos to do all of my Christmas shopping in person and for the most part it was an enjoyable experience. Sadly this was not the case in Bodenhams, which is one of the last small department stores in the UK and the sort of establishment that I would like to support. Just before Christmas, my partner had purchased a waistcoat and 2 shirts (for me) and relayed her experience to me, which she described as 'largely dismissive'. Notwithstanding this, we decided to go to Bodenhams on the 30th December to see if we could get a jacket to complement the waistcoat. Most unfortunately, we were completely ignored for several minutes. I would like to point out that I have a schoolfriend who has a Gents Outfitters in Wolverhampton, established 1929 and sometimes I stop by and we have a catch up about various things - however, should a customer come in, my friend will break off the conversation immediately in order to attend to the customer: in Bodenhams, the gentleman behind the counter clearly believes that discussing the merit of a 1979 ABBA album is more important than serving customers - perhaps Bodenham's has a regular clientele that spends lots of money and they don't need folks like us from 'over the hill', who - let's face it - were only going to spend 300-400. Even when a young assistant asked us how we were getting on and we asked about availability of a jacket, we didn't get a 'let's see what we can do' answer, but just 'what we've got is out'. I'm appalled that in a little town, where many of the nice shops have gone (Lisa-Ann jewellers, Orvis, the nice linen shop in the square...) that an institution like Bodenhams should show such disinterest in customers. It's unlikely that we will be back and I am disappointed to have to say that.

Popped in whilst my family visited Ludlow castle, could have spent hours in there, because everything is good quality and makes you feel good about yourself. Bought an amazing leather bag, pair of Bugatti jeans and Barbour belt. Really pleased with my purchases. Visit them online or in person.

Great service. I purchased a beautiful Chalk jumper from Bodenhams but had a query re: the delivery method. I spoke to lovely people who were extremely helpful and I am delighted with my purchase . Will definitely buy from them again .
