(Translated by Google) It feels like home. But then with a lot of silence and tranquility. (Original) Het voelt als thuis. Maar dan met heel veel stilte en rust.

This place is amazing. We needed a place to stay for a few days while we prepared for a boat rental on the Broads, and this was the perfect answer. My brother- and sister-in-law joined us here from Burgundy, France, and they were equally entranced with the cottage, the area, and the incredible peace and quiet. Nothing you could need for a perfect week in the country was lacking. Much of the time, places like this have no unpacking options, and we have to live out of suitcases. Not so here. Plenty of wardrobe hanging space and drawers. Everything super convenient. The kitchen had everything a pair of picky French cooks could want, and it was all logically laid out so that there was no difficulty finding anything. The huge patio table outside was perfect for the afternoon "aperitif", and convenient to the casement windows of the kitchen for dining service as well. Ludham village is tiny - a church, a surprisingly well stocked corner shop, a butchers and a decent pub - and only 20 minutes walk away. From there, it is just another 10 minutes to Womack Staithe on the Broads. Walk the opposite direction, from the cottage, and you get to the River Ant in about 15 minutes. Peace and quiet, beautiful surroundings, comfortable beds, a beautifully equipped home - a recipe for an idyllic week in the country, far from the madding crowd.

Spent 4 nights here after winning a Broads National Park Experience competition. My wife and I loved the cottage and the whole experience of staying there. The owners seems to have thought of everything and every room, drawer or cupboard contained things to make your stay that bit easier. Not somewhere we could afford ordinarily so very grateful for the opportunity to stay there and will definitely be visiting Norfolk again.
