I Attended Wainstalls Junior and infants school from the age of 5, it was the year 1949 and the start of my education. I lived close to the school at Hambleton Hill Farm and would walk to school with a young girl from one of the farms nearby. One of the highlights of the school year was the Whitsun walk to Whitewash Rock, where a picnic would be had, tea and cakes all round. I am now 73 years old, but have never forgotten where I was brought up and it's nice to see that the school is still going as strongly as ever, I always remember it as a lovely place to go to. I wish you all well. G. RAVEN.
